(Fuerth, Germany). Once again, Wickels Papierveredelungs-Werke Buntpapierfabrik GmbH of Fuerth, Germany has taken up an old tradition and relaunched an iridescent foil paper in the spring of 2011. Its name: "Iris 2.0". This is a foil that is laminated on a coloured background, in a style already fashionable in the disco years of the 70s.

Almost 40 years ago, the long-established company Wickels, based in Fuerth, Germany, premiered its iridescent glitter foil "Iris", which was designed in the then-popular disco style.

This high-qualitiy foil - in its revival version "Iris 2.0" - is applied to coloured paper or cardboard; the colour effects come in shiny or matte. "Iris 2.0" is available in the colours blue, orange and gold as well as with various surface textures, which means there are flexible combinations to choose from.

Gloss as a special eye-catcher

"Iris 2.0" is available in a many different embossing structures - suitable for cardboard packaging, dispatch cases, round boxes, books, menus or even calendars. "Iris" papers are striking since they appear to look different depending on the lighting conditions. They are available in 100 x 70 cm short grain format.           •
