Ulaanbaatar Energy Storage Construction Project
The construction of a 50 MW/200 MWh Battery Storage Power Station on a 5-hectare area built upon the “Baganuur” substation in the Baganuur district of Ulaanbaatar is progressing successfully.On October 5, 2024, Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai visited the Battery Storage Power Station, a project implemented by the Governor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar as part of the Government of Mongolia’s energy reform. These include the signing and landing of the 20 GWh sodium-ion battery project in Suining, Sichuan; the Jinlongyu solid-state battery materials project in Huizhou entering the approval stage; the rapid construction of the 4 GWh lithium battery project by Hubei Yijia Tong Technology Co., Ltd. in Hubei; and the steady advancement of Gaiya New Energy’s 3 GWh large cylindrical lithium (sodium) battery base in Zhejiang.
